It’s no secret that my favorite flowers are sunflowers. Inside the kitchen of my childhood home, fake sunflowers were displayed above the kitchen cabinets. My mother, an avid gardener, had also planted a row of them along the side of our house. I remember staring at them with child-like innocence and being mystified that their “faces” would always follow the sun. The verse on this sampler is a Haiku that I wrote in 2019. Sunflowers are known for being associated with adoration, joy, and happiness. I hope those are feelings that you, the needleworker, experience while stitching this sampler.
